Press Release

Washington, DC- Today, Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) Chairman Rubén Hinojosa (TX-15) released the following statement on the President's FY 2015 budget.

"The President's budget sends a message loud and clear: creating opportunity for all is a top priority.  The proposal calls for job creation, tax cuts for families and investments in key areas like education and infrastructure.  Key in the President's plan is a call for comprehensive immigration reform which would reduce the deficit by $160 billion in the first decade alone.  This budget outlines important priorities for middle class families and would strengthen our economy in the years and decades to come."

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC), founded in December 1976, is organized as a Congressional Member organization, governed under the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives. The CHC is dedicated to voicing and advancing, through the legislative process, issues affecting Hispanics in the United States, Puerto Rico and U.S. Territories.
