CHC Chair Releases Analysis of Trump’s Impact on Hispanic Community
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) Chairwoman Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham released an analysis of the Trump’s Administration negative impact on the Hispanic community.
“Donald Trump is bankrupting the future of the Hispanic community and in so doing he’s threatening the future of America. On every issue on which President Trump has taken meaningful action, he’s willfully ignored how it will affect one third of Americans in 2050. This isn’t surprising, as he’s ignored the devastation his efforts are having on immigrant families right now. In these 100 days he’s rolled back protections on the environment, given license to mass deportations, and diminished our country’s foreign relations standing in the world. His policies aren’t investments in the future; they’re pay outs to himself. In the end, it will be Hispanic families who foot the bill for President Trump’s failed policies.”
The analysis highlights issue areas in which the Trump Administration has taken actions that run counter to the goals of the CHC.
