CHC Chair Statement on Earth Day
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressional Hispanic Caucus Chairwoman Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham released the following statement in commemoration of Earth Day:
“On Earth Day we recommit ourselves to the protection and preservation of our environment, land, water, and wildlife. Conserving our natural spaces and addressing climate change are the right things to do for the health of our families and planet. Hispanics are among the most vulnerable to extreme weather events and are more likely to suffer health issues stemming from environmental pollution. Now, it’s more important than ever to defend the strong environmental policies that benefit the health, prosperity, and security of Hispanics and our nation.”
